Upaya perlindungan dan pengamanan hutan desa di area Project Delta Kapuas terus menunjukkan peran penting
Delta Kapuas Project is here to build a greener future in the coastal areas and around the Kapuas River, West Kalimantan.
124,941 ha of Village Forest
25 Village Forests across Two Regencies
This initiative combines forest conservation efforts with the improvement of local community welfare through sustainable village forest management.
We work together with communities, government, the private sector, and environmental organizations to create a balance between economic well-being and environmental sustainability.
Delta Kapuas Project believes that change does not always come from big steps, but from the courage to keep moving forward. That is why we choose to remain present, planting hope in every step, and ensuring that the voice of nature is never truly lost.

Delta Kapuas Project falls under the AFOLU category (Agriculture, Forestry and Other Land Use) and focuses on a REDD project (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation) with three main pillars:
Institutional capacity is the main foundation of village forest management. We strengthen LPHDs so they can become independent and professional institutions.
Landscape management is key to balancing the ecological and economic functions of the forest. This approach is ecosystem-based and actively involves local communities.
We develop forest-based green economies to improve the welfare of village communities.
Each project is designed to strengthen community welfare while safeguarding village forests.
Development of forest honey enterprises and leading non-timber forest products.
Our collaborative efforts have delivered direct benefits to communities and the environment across the Delta Kapuas area.
